Smilodon Creative builds great websites for arts organizations everywhere.
Smilodon works with arts organizations to assess the effectiveness and reach of their digital presence. Then we craft an effective, results-driven strategy for moving forward. Using tools and strategies from graphic design, web development, information architecture, choreography, cultural anthropology, and content marketing, we bridge our clients' real-world communities with their online presence.
Our clients are committed to supporting and expanding the role of art in our society. We have worked with:
- performing arts venues
- art advocacy groups
- dance companies
- independent authors
- art historians
In 2016, we're dreaming of working with:
- An art museum
- A fine artist who wants to sell work online
- An arts history/archival project
Sound like your organization?
artistically inclined, community focused
Searching for a way to make art while making a living, owner Tara King started freelancing as a designer/developer in 2011. Since then, the team has grown and in 2016, she renamed the business to reflect a new focus and business structure.
We are deeply committed to the arts and technology communities, presenting workshops at both arts and open-source software events. Tara maintains an active choreography and performance career as part of Mad King Thomas, and writes regularly at No Strategy.
